The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) manages Ontario’s power system, operates the province’s wholesale electricity market, plans for its immediate and long-term electricity needs, and guides its energy conservation initiatives through the Save on Energy portfolio.

Project

Strengthening Communities through Energy Efficiency (2018) is a 4-page booklet featuring information about end-use electricity consumption in Ontario municipal buildings, as well as the opportunities for communities to become more energy efficient through a variety of energy management approaches. ML & CO developed the content for this booklet based on a commissioned research study by the IESO.

Project

Power Perspectives (2018) is a 24-page magazine-style publication with features on innovation and the challenges of integrating new technology into Ontario's energy market, as well as updates on the transformation of the energy market resulting from increased competition. ML & CO developed all content, based on research and interviews with internal and external subject matter experts.

Export Development Canada

is Canada’s export credit agency. It offers financing, insurance and risk management support to help Canadian exporters and investors expand their international business.

Project

Project: A 12-page booklet (French/English tumble) that provides an overview of Export Development Canada’s approach to Corporate Social Responsibility for prospective clients. ML & CO provided content development and creative development services, including design, layout and production.

PowerStream Inc.

is the second largest electricity distribution company in Canada, serving over 340,000 customers and managing close to $980 million in electricity-related assets.

Project

A bi-annual Business-to-Customer magazine for residential customers in PowerStream’s service territory, designed to raise awareness for the energy conservation programs offered by PowerStream.  ML & CO was hired to provide content development and creative development, including design, layout and production. One in a series we produced, starting in 2009.

Ryreson MBA book

Project

ML & CO was hired to write this booklet for prospective MBA students under extremely tight deadlines, collaborating with the design team on concepts, and with the in-house marketing team on development of key messaging and value proposition statements.

Project

This is a 28-page research report for the Yeates School of Graduate Studies. It's partly a review of various programs and initiatives, and partly an update on some interesting research projects. We interviewed all the people whose work is highlighted, wrote all the copy and worked with an internal resource to manage all copy approvals.

Project

This is a 12-page Research Report for the Ted Rogers School of Management. It consists of a detailed list of published research projects, along with a series of eight profiles in which the researchers discuss their projects and goals. We did all the interviews, wrote the content, and managed the approvals process.
